Leveling guide to World of Warcraft

There are a lot of leveling strategies you can pursue; like power leveling, grinding, quests, guides, addons and many more. All of these terms are enough to make anyone's head spin. Where do you start? Well let's get down to the basics and explain what some of these are.

Power Leveling is an old strategy that started ages ago from older games. Power Leveling in one of its oldest forms comes from Everquest. Power leveling in Everquest worked in such a way that you would give beneficial buffs to your lower level character while healing them. This was very beneficial, as they would get full experience from kills and leveling went very quickly.

Power Leveling in World of Warcraft is a bit different. The buffs don't take full effect on lower level characters, making it far less efficient. The way you handle this is to form a party with the lower level character and kill creatures for them at an accelerated rate. This is also very efficient because it allows you to kill quickly, but with a diminished experience quickly.

Grinding is the oldest and most commonly used form of leveling in all games. Grinding is when you do a repetitive task many times over for some amount of gain. Most commonly to level using the grinding method; you would kill dozens, or even hundreds of creatures at a time to gain a level. This is the less efficient method of leveling.

Quests are becoming more standard in modern games. You accept a quest, the quest gives you a specific set of tasks, and you complete the task and gain a large boost of experience for completing the task. Quests help break the monotony of grinding.

Guides attempt to "guide" you through the game, some more broadly, others in a step-by-step method. There are plenty of leveling guides of all types. Some are very good, some are not so good.

Addons are a great tool. You can get addons that will read your quest, and pull up information about it from a database. These addons can direct you to specific areas and show you exactly what needs to be done to complete a quest.

Where does Zygor's Horde and Alliance Leveling Guide fall into these? Well... All of them! First they would like to call it a guide. Because that is what it does, it guides you through the game. But secondly it is an add-on.

Zygor's Leveling Guides utilize all of the methods of leveling to level you efficiently and very quickly. It guides you through the game with an intelligent add-on. This add-on reads various game information, such as your total experience, completed quests, location and various other information; and brings it together to actively guide you through the game.

It tells you what quests to pick up, what order to complete them in, and does it all with a nifty arrow that points you in all the right directions. If you are not high enough of a level to complete the next step of the quest comfortably, the addon tells you to grind.

This guide is super efficient. Easily the best guide I have had the honor of using.

Don't quest, don't grind, don't power level, and don't use add-ons. Just use Zygor's Leveling Guides and get the best of all worlds.
